Hinchman Acres Resort

Hinchman Acres Resort rents canoes, tubes, kayaks and rafts. on the AuSable River. The river winds through mile after mile of unspoiled wilderness with deer, beaver, ducks, otter, wild mink, bald eagles and other wildlife.
Canoeing is fun, it's easy and it's the outdoor sport for the entire family. Even if you've never paddled a canoe before, you and your family will be surprised at how quickly you catch on.

There are no physical demands beyond those of normal good health. Canoeing is open to all ages and degrees of experience. Pick the time you wish to begin and end your trip, our courteous drivers will pick you up at a prearranged time and transport you back to your vehicle.


If you'd like to stay awhile, Hinchman Acres Resort has 11 cottages for rent. In addition to canoeing, enjoy the sandy beach, great fishing, campfire pit, warming hut and game room, playground, ping pong, horseshoes, shuffleboard, basketball, badminton, and volleyball.

Michigan Association of Paddlesport Providers

The Michigan Association of Paddlesport Providers is made up of over 30 Michigan Canoe Liveries. They are actively involved in protecting the rivers that they serve, and the public's right to paddle, and have access to Michigan's rivers.

We are blessed with more than 1500 miles of quality Michigan rivers and streams, offering more paddling opportunities than any other state. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, Michigan has an adventure for you.


The Michigan Association of Paddlesport Providers invites everyone to enjoy its member liveries for a memorable canoeing experience.


All our members are required to abide by our code of ethics and professionalism. This includes public service and safety, industry professionalism, and leave no trace stewardship.

River Journeys

River Journeys is a custom-designed canoe camping adventure for small groups and individuals on the pristine Manistee River in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan.

The Manistee, the most unspoiled natural camping river in Lower Michigan, is a class I river rated for beginner skills.

Completely outfitted with gear and RiverJourneys staff, river travel and camping provide opportunities for quiet reflection, good conversation and fun.

Duggan's Canoe Livery & Campground

Duggan's Canoe Livery & Campground is located 12 miles West of Harrison, Michigan, on M-61.

The Muskegon River is ideal for all ages. The river bottom is mostly sand with an average water depth of 3-4 ft. Property along the river is wooded with very few cabins.

Duggan's Canoe Livery features canoes, kayaks, rafts, and tubes. Trips with lengths from 3½ hours to 4 days.
We have a beautiful picnic area, and rustic and modern campsites with full hook-up's. There's a camp & convenience store on-site for all your camping and canoeing needs, and clean bathroom & shower facilities too!

Pine River Paddlesports Center

The Pine River Paddlesports Center (PRPC) rents canoes, kayaks, and rubber rafts on the Pine and Manistee Rivers, Michigan's premiere paddlesport rivers.
Both rivers are blessed with a natural, undeveloped riverscape and run primarily through State and National Forests.

You can choose from taking a quiet-water trip, or a white-water trip. There\'s a wildlife viewing trip and a guided moonlight tour on the backwaters of Tippy Dam.

Streamside and onwater instruction is provided. Regardless of your skill-level and ability, PRPC has a trip to fit the needs of your family and/or friends.

We offer the finest recreational equipment for your paddling adventure including quality Carlisle paddles, comfortable life jackets, and seat cushions.

A Paddlesports Store is on-site and mountain bikes are also available for rent.

Camp at our new, quiet campground. Each site has a carpet of grass, a firering and grill, picnic table, lantern hanger, and a garbage receptacle. The central bathroom facility has flush toilets and coin-op showers.
