Delicious coffee, juice, and homemade jams accompany the entrees which may include: smoked salmon omelets or oatmeal pancakes preceded by fruit in a cinnamon-zinfandel sauce or a baked pear.

Hill House offers 7 tastefully appointed rooms furnished with antiques and lace curtains with an emphasis on cleanliness.


Each room features a queen bed with down comforter and pressed cotton sheets. You will also find fresh flowers, handmade soaps, and bathrobes in each room. Most rooms offer TV's, VCR's, and private phone lines with answering machines.

San Juan Island is home to three resident pods of orca whales. From April through October the waters below our inn are their feeding and play grounds. They are easily seen and heard from our expansive decks.

Bald eagles, owls and a myriad of other birds find nests along our coastline. Deer abound. Whale WatchPark and the Lime Kiln Lighthouse are just a mile up the coast with many hiking trails and picnic spots along the way.

Highland Inn is open all year round. A two night minimum is required for Saturday reservations.
